WELCOME

Peruvian youngster: develop your potential

Welcome to the program "Youth in Ayacucho: towards a Culture of Legality"!
The aim of this initiative is to increase the integration and sustainable development of our region through a communicational programme focused on promoting a culture of legality, youth leadership and revalue of the regional identity. This will be achieved by exploiting the potential of the region at different levels: tourism, culture, gastronomy, architecture, music among others.

How does it work?

Impact:
- 5 regions in Ayacucho lead the implementation of this initiative: Huamanga, Huanta, VRAE (includying the province of La Convención in Cuzco), Vilcashuaman and Cangallo.
- Direct impact in 5000 people, among youngsters, parents, media, local organizations and institutions.
- 50 active groups support the development of 300 young leaders for social change and rescue of regional identity.

Innovation:
- The largest youth run regional network working towards communicating and developing.
- Information tools and workshops ensure dynamic and creative processes towards the empowerment of local communities.
- Peruvian youth will lead initiatives for their own benefit and their communities.
- Tourist and cultural resources are means for generating social entrepreneurship.
- The involvement of the target communities will lead a long term civil society agenda, identity and sustainable development in the framework of a culture of legality.
- Our activites foster the value of “cooperation” among our beneficiaries and people who work with us. The program "Youth in Ayacucho" has been inspired on the practice of that value.
