The Centre for Information and
Education for the Prevention of Drug Abuse (CEDRO) in partnership with the
Provincial Committee of Public Safety (COPROSEC), the National Police of Peru
Andahuaylas and the Public Ministry, developed a presentation on SOCIETY YOUTH
AND DRUGS aimed at university students Chumbao valley.
The event aimed to help to
produce responsible citizenship guaranteeing the rule of law and effective
enforcement, assuming drug trafficking as a threat to their development. Also
sought to promote youth civic awareness against the dangers of drugs in society
and motivate students of universities to create opportunities for healthy
living.
This activity took place
on Saturday 11 July this in the afternoon with the participation of university
students in universities, Peruvian Wings, Technological University of the
Andes, Universidad San Antonio Abad of Cusco, José María Arguedas University;
who were ready to ask questions as Why not legalize drugs in Peru? How drugs
can be dangerous to public health? Does how much drug can be introduced into
more power? How does the State to combat drugs? Among others.
Similarly speakers made by a
prosecutor, Colonel PNP, Physician and a psychologist UNSACC address health II,
converged in the message referring to "drugs in youth are always a threat
to individual well-being and of society "; also noted that "drug
trafficking is a criminal network that only brings violence, corruption and
destruction of the social fabric.
After the activity the
technical secretary of public safety in the province of Andahuaylas, Augusto
Fernández congratulated by working in partnership and commitment to fight
drugs, drug trafficking and violence.
